Siemens is in discussions to capitulate SEN.

World number four provider of open communications, SEN suffers of a fall of prices related to the fact that the customers reduce their costs and employ more and more telephone services based on Internet. Result: the SEN’s accounts remained in the red in 2007, posting a loss of 602 million Euros. Siemens, which announced on February 26 the suppression of 6.800 employments (a downsizing of 40 %) within its subsidiary Siemens Enterprise Networks (SEN). Siemens, stated Tuesday to hold advanced discussions with various partners (the press evokes the names of Alcatel-Lucent, Nortel Networks or Cerberus) for an eventual transfer.
